Statement Sleeves at Mason & Rook

Happy President’s Day, everyone. Three-day weekends is the perfect time for staycations, and today I wanted to share with you a fabulous recent experience at one of DC’s chic boutique hotels, Kimpton’s Mason & Rook. Situated just off the busy 14th Street Corridor, I was initially attracted to Mason & Rook’s dark, sexy exteriors. Amongst all the traditional houses in the area, this dark grey, modern building with wood accents and striking typography definitely stands out from the crowd. The words “distinguished” a “dapper” come to mind.

In a previous post I shared some photos of the exterior and talked briefly about the restaurant, Radiator. Now it’s time to showcase hotel portion. Just renovated this spring, the building really is as if you’ve arrived at a stylish friend’s urban home in a cool, hip part of town. Speaking of stylish – hotel guests can even be adorned with a Shinola watch during their stay! And don’t forget to visit the ultra chic rooftop pool and lounge – one of the best under-the-radar rooftop bar in DC, IMO.
