Ectu is a brand I discovered this year, even though it’s been active since 2015. The brand’s rising popularity is justifiable after seeing it’s bags, which – whether they’re clutches, messengers, or weekenders – are extremely modern, sharp, and classic. My personal favorite is this silver-accented leather “Palermo“, which I can honestly say I’ve been carrying everywhere – it’s officially became my everyday work bag! The founders of Ectu created the brand with travel in mind, which I saw in all of their bags – they’re made for women with multi-dimensional lifestyles, stylish, sturdy and incredibly comfortable to wear. As someone who’s a mother, designer, and influencer, I always look for pieces that can be functional for my multiple roles but also look good – and Ectu’s bag is perfect for all of those roles in my life.
As for the rest of this outfit, I couldn’t resist some fun summer layering! The “Palermo” is super neutral and modern, which I wanted to accent with some equally modern pieces. I added a layer to the balloon-sleeved Caroline Constas top with a Miu Miu bustier as a fun pop of color and pattern, which played off well with the ribboned Veronica Beard jeans. As denim is everywhere, I wanted something that made a statement more than a classic pair – and the oversized stitching on these did just that! To complete the look, I added the most comfortable yet chic shoes – these golden Bells & Becks mules are shimmery suede topped with metallic tassels, which are perfect for a “more-is-more” girl like myself – and for wearing all summer!
While I’m not a casual dresser, this look incorporates casual pieces with my comfort-level of details together with statements I already loved. After all, personal style at its’ core is being consistent but adaptable – and though nothing tests that like changing seasons, following what you like and know best is always the best route.
