Mini Dress Over Pants at 880P

Laying dress over pants is such a refreshing way to give your typical summer outfit an update, and in this look I’m executing this trend with a mini dress over the typical maxi. At my age I’m also not into wearing mini dresses unless it’s paired with OTK boots, so this is also a great way to wear something cute and flirty the age-appropriate way 🙂

To give even more texture and flare to this look, I used a safety-pin to ruche up one side of the dress (detail shot below). I’ve done this with maxi skirts, too, and such a cheap and quick hack to give your pieces a new look. Just make sure you use a sharp but thin pin to not damage the fabric!

Recently I had the pleasure of visiting the gorgeous upcoming living space in Shaw, 880P. I am constantly amazed by how fast the nation’s capital has grown since I moved to the city 7 years ago. It used to be difficult to find modern homes suitable for my taste, now they are definitely more widely available. This area in Shaw, as well as many other neighborhoods has changed so much. There’s never been a better time to live in the city!
