Modern Drama: Full Skirt and Cropped Sweatshirt

I love discovering emerging designers, and am so happy to have discovered the work of Project Runway All Stars contestant Layana Aguilar. This mod cropped sweatshirt and dramatic full skirt with a high-low hem just screams designer, but at a much more reasonable price! You know I’m a sucker for a good deal, especially when quality and design are both present.

It’s tough to see here, but the white shoulder patches have an alligator pattern embossed to the fabric. The subtle texture is just what this top needs to take it to the next level. I am so obsessed with the overall design of this top – the color scheme, the minimalist blocks, and plays on texture. Talk about #designercrush!
