Hello everyone!  Pleated skirts have been such a hot item this season, and while the midi style made famous by Alessandro Michele’s Gucci collection holds reins (more outfits inspired by that coming soon), I decided to do something different in this look with a bold yet minimalist, striped maxi version.

Maxi skirts have always been one of my favorite styles to wear, they are quite possibly the most comfortable bottoms next to pajama pants.  Bonus if they are made with yards and yards of abundant fabric for dramatic movement and flow.  The black and creme pattern on this skirt makes such a strong statement, so I kept rest of the outfit simple with a bell-sleeve top (seen previously here) and patent leather belt to break up the horizontal lines.  This look is fairly easy to execute with any bold-patterned long skirt and simple top.
