Statement Choker & Wide Leg Pants

This outfit is a mix of 2 current trends – chokers and wide leg pants – with a personal touch. It’s always great to update your wardrobe with something trendy, but what’s even better is injecting your own individuality to to avoid looking like everyone else.

Chokers are hands down my favorite thing right now, and I don’t want to leave the house without it! While the popular look of simple ribbon choker is great, I chose a much more bold and edgy design to fit my personal style. With such a statement piece, I kept the rest of the outfit simple. Even with a could-be typical black top, the slit and bell sleeves make it minimalist yet not boring.

The second trend here is wide leg pants. Currently my preference is the wider, the better! If only I still had some raver pants from back in the day…

I took the idea of paperbag-waist pants – a look I am not so fond of – and applied here with a skinny scarf tied around the high waistline of these wide-leg jeans. The result is more streamlined than the paperbag style, while retaining its relaxed and effortless look.
